Let me start out by saying I am new here on the forum. I recently purchased my first C4, a 93 with the anniversary package. The car is all stock. I would like to change the mufflers for something with a deeper and more throaty sound.
With that being said, there is the issue of economy as well. Which muffler systems would give me the sound I desire and perhaps a little bump in HP without setting me back big $$$$$?
Cat-back systems are going to be pricey but will certainly deliver great sounds and some improvement in power. Most people here like either the Corsa system or Magnaflow. Borla would be another good choice but even more pricey.
A good start may be simply having a muffler shop cut off the mufflers and replace them with straight pipe and some nice tips. Firgure around $100 including tips.
I had Chambered muff elims installed two days ago, very happy with it. I know everyone will doubt me on this, but they don't drone. Crack and pop on deceleration.
