I really trust Lucas products. I stopped torque converter chatter on both my 84 and 92 with their transmission additive and stopped a small oil leak on my 84 with the engine oil additive.
Maybe I've just been lucky. Usually when I start changing parts to fix a problem, I end up creating 2 more.

Hi Guys, Just a small trick I have learnt over the years as a mechanic,Pack the back of the seal with petroleum jelly or Vaseline,(it wont contaminate the oil or hurt the seal),it keeps the seal spring in place,Normally you cant see if the spring has moved
Cheers
Torque converter chatter? Mine makes a slight chatter noise if I give it a lot of gas at slow speed when it's in a higher gear. Is that what yours was doing?

Mine felt like a vibration when transmission was going between high and the overdrive. It was diagnosed by a by a transmission tech I know. Due to age of cars he discouraged trans flushing, only draining and refilling at filter changes. He said that the flushing could cause worse issues.
