Another forum member is going the 3/8" stud route with the CC Pro Magnums. These are offered in the self aligning option. This would save you on hardened pushrods and guideplates.
My rockers required some grinding of the stock LT4 plastic valvecovers. Very minimal and easy to see where-I just trial and errored it a few times and relieved the marked up parts with my trusty dremel. The valve cover material is very soft-obviously it was only internal, too. It shouldn't matter whether it is a 7/16 or 3/8 stud...now a 1.5 vs a 1.6 probably will.
