When I first got my 85 it started so quickly upon turning the key it was almost scary. I replaced my EGR valve recently and eliminated a service engine light issue. Now it doesn't start so abruptly.
But I also have a real issue restarting when hot, always have. If I stop and restart, whether refueling or just going in stores, I have to literally pump the gas pedal a few times while cranking to get it to turn over. Only when hot though. I also have a stalling problem when stopped at lights, when I apply fuel to move out, if I have to let up due to slower traffic, she will die, like it's flooding or starving for fuel.
I am throwing no codes, but I am thinking this might have something to do with fuel supply or a TPS malfunction.
Anyone have a problem like this before?
Not a pro at this bro! But after bought my 88 it would start hard idle ruff stalling then running fine ! Started doing it more and more no SES light! After coming apon a post here some were it was the air fuel mixture sensor and MAF relay I shot VB cleaner in VB near the air opening for air fuel mixture sensor after removing air tube from MAF! Replaced relay for MAF Also checked all fittings ! Since I have done this it's been running great! Then after changing O2 sensor it hasent run better this is my DD 100 miles a day!
