I recently recovered and restored a 1992 Coupe w/6 speed. Have put a few dollars into it bringing it back to life after 4 years under a tarp in a field. A couple of quirky issues I need some help with:
1. Brake Light - new Master Cylinder all was well for a couple of weeks. Brake light came on. Master good, fluid good. Emergency Brake handle a mess so I removed and rebuilt light switch. Light stays on. Gets somewhat brighter with Emerg Brake engaged. Any suggestions?
2) Changed weather stripping on windshield and roof halo. Replaced cracked acrylic roof. Driver window will not go up all the way up when door closed. Tried several adjustment to move glass away from window but they didn't work. Any suggestions?
1. There is a level sensor on the master... and a pressure switch... make sure both are plugged in and working. The level sensor slides into the master from the engine side, and is under the reservoir. The pressure switch is tricky to reach, but is down by the hard lines leaving the master.
2. What stops the window? Does it go up with the door open? If so, what happens when you close the door?

Thanks for the reply. I'll check the level and pressure sensor.
Re: Window - it slides right up to within 2" of upper limit and stops. The weatherstrip is too think, I think. Corvette specialist said that this is a problem that has no solution. That simply cannot be correct. suggestions?
the glass only stops when the door is closed, right?
I know some new weatherstrip can be thick... but that seems exceptional. Did this shop install the seals? If so, it's on them to fix it.
If not, it's time to investigate... Is the window slow? If so, the motor may be aging out.
Raise the window all the way, apply some silicone lube to the seals and close the door. Let it stay that way for a couple of days. Eventually, it will learn and the seals will hole shape. Worth a try.
what brand weatherstrip? I found some of the aftermarket stuff is to hard and the motor cannot put the window up..
I probably have 40 hours of work in both my windows to get them right.. I have one Small drip in rain.. that is it.. just takes patience and time to work on the window to get it right

Thanks for the replies, guys. I did them myself, so I have no one to complain to! It was a relatively easy job until I found that the window would not go up with the door closed. It's only the driver side too. I have tried everything BUT the silicone idea. The motors are strong and the windows work fine. It's just the driver side as it approaches the upper limit.
I think I bought them through Precision online. I thought they were top quality. Seeing as this is not uncommon, I'll keep working at it.
