HELP!! wiring problem?
Hey guys.. A couple of days ago i was dropping my girlfriend off at her house and noticed that when i open my door, the interior lights did not turn on (it was at night :) ).. I thought it just might have been the driver door, went and open passenger, an they still did not come on... So then i reached for hatch pop on passenger door, an it did not work.. Then i reached inside an hit console botton.. then one worked, an turned on interior lights..
I bought new door pin switches for both sides, and that did not work... i checked all the bulbs and fuses.. The only problems i am experiencing right now are, when either driver or passenger door opens, the interior lights "DO NOT" turn on.. and Neither door mounted hatch release works... Everything else in the doors are fine.. power windows/lock/mirrors.. Can somebody please help me?! I greatly appreciate it :blueangel:

Check your CTSY/CLK and your GAGES fuse...However, you are most likely having a problem with the Delay timer. There is a way to test the timer but its a real PITA to get a tester to it. You are better off replacing it.

Check your CTSY/CLK and your GAGES fuse...However, you are most likely having a problem with the Delay timer. There is a way to test the timer but its a real PITA to get a tester to it. You are better off replacing it.

I had exact problem...........it was a bad timer. Ground for door hatch switches is through timer..........reason they do not work with a bad timer.

QS....TLD has them...#675348...Its for an 84L-89...The L means late model...You may want to remove yours and call them to match it up.
