Tranny install problems
I put my 700R4 back into my car last night and everything went according to plan until.... The drive shaft was the last thing to be put back on and I can not get the splines to line up. I have done this once before (U-joints) and didn't have much of a problem but I tried for 30 mins and got flustrated and put the tools up for the night. Going to try and finish this afternoon after work any suggestions on getting the drive shaft to slide on any easier other than just putting a little lube on the splines (tried that)?

I have done it many times and never had any problem. Go easy, maybe you had the yoke cocked off to the side a bit so it wouldn't slide on. If you put the tranny in neutral you can twist it once it's in to get the rear u-joint to line up with the differential. Be careful when you get it to slide on that you ease it into the seal on the back of the tranny. You don't want to mess up that seal.
