I'm considering muffler eliminators for my car. Currently the pre-cats are gone and the main cat has been replaced with a high flow unit. I am planning to add a new rear Y with crossover with the new eliminators. This will complete a totally new exhaust system on my car. I have read that some others have lost low-end power with eliminators. Is this really true? My car is an L98. Anyone with muffler eliminator experience?
You will not lose any low end torque with that exhaust system. Most, if not all, people gain hp and torque even dow low from such mods. I did (dyno charts back it up). Be careful though. You may get some resonance at lower rpms but I dont think anything in the world is as bad as the flowmasters I had before my muffler elims. Those things would deafen you.

anyone with LT1 elim experience???? just thought i would chime in and ask!!!!
no loss of low end here, gaing some un expected top end. Sounds awesome. I just installed a cat on my car and it quieted it quite a bit. Hopefully the headers in my garage with give me some rumble back.
You will have the exact same exhaust as me albeit on an L98. The sound kicks, you lose a couple of pounds, You can check my page for dyno and 1/4 results. Doesn't look like I lost anything.
The cross -over tube I had welded onto my rear pipe cut the resonance down to between 1700 and 1800 rpms. To be honest I don't eeven notice the resonance at that range either now.
Thanks for all the replies. I'll definitely be going with the eliminators and crossover. I plan on using the black rectangular tips. My left rear muffler is falling off and it needs replacing- with elims of course! :hat
