Default Amatuer Engine Replacement What is this thing?

Years ago I used to rebuild engines on Nissan 240 Z's. I haven't done much in many years.

My son bought a 1985 Corvette and it ran pretty good for about 2 months, then it started knocking something horrible. Something was broken off and rattling around in the head. A local corvette shop told us the best bet would be to scrap it since it would be about 6-8k to put an engine into a car that when done would be worth about 5k.

We decided to put in a crate engine. Nothing high performance, just a GM 350 from jegs.

I read many posts here and got a lot of guidance. After a total of about 6 days work we are almost ready to put the fluids back in, but for one small problem.

I took lots of pictures and labeled almost everything, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what this is or where it goes.
I have the manual and I have also purchased the "AllData" diy and I cannot find this thing.

After we figure this out, we will be taking a shot at the other thing I did not label as good as I should. The vacuum system. I have a diagram for that one.

I think I may have swapped the thing that goes on the EGR with this thing that belongs on the back of the engine where the 2 pronged oil pressure sensor is.

Thanks. I got thrown off because when I searched for Oil Pressure sensor I found this. And it has 2 connectors..

So why do I have two of them on the back of the block. This one has one wire and the other one has 2 wires.

Ok, with your clue, and a quick search I found out.

Single wire is the pressure transducer. Two wire is the switch.

Just in case you need to see how they mount on the engine block, this is my setup (I assume it was the same in '85):

Thanks, that will be helpful. I am going to put it on later today. I read somewhere that if these are very old you should replace them as they are known to leak over time. I think I will pick up two new sensors before I do it.
