Put it in last night, took a couple of hours. when ever I do something like this it is always more complicated, or has an exception to the rule, etc :smash:
The biggest problem was the T-50 torx head screw!! Did Gm have to use this size? What a pain!! I looked at my set and realized I didn't have one that large. OK, I'll go to Lowe's. Nope, don't have them, only up tp T-40. I start to get concerned, really wanted to put it in that night, I had expected to receive and install on Friday.
8:30PM Go to Home Depot. Ask guy @ store. he stares at me? I explain, he checks the computer and says only up to T-40. I keep looking and find a T-50, but attached to sockets and the 7 piece set cost $25!! I get it anyway, I can always return it.
The install was not to bad. Hardest part was getting hold of those little spacers in the toip holder. :mad

Anyway, it is really solid now. I even drove without the top on ( I never do) and it felt like the top was on! Great product and engineering! (again)

I can't beleave no one has mentioned the T-50 torx bolt before? Does everyone except me have a "bogus set of tools" (Jeff Spicole-Fast Times...)?

Dave, I bet most people would pay a little more if you included a T-50 bit in the kit. I would of gladly paid an extra $5 or so for it to be included.

 

Sears sells the T50 seperately.

 

I got a T50 at the local flea market for my valve cover bolts. Paid $0.75 for it.
