Hi Folks, I would like to have my 96 lt1 auto, checked out on a dyno and tuned for its maximum H.p. I live near Orange county area of Los angeles ca,,,any advice would be welcomed.. Is it even worth the effort? I have heard different opinions that it can be pricey. Thanks
I don't know what to say. What is the state of the car today? Where do you want it to be? Most important, how big a wallet do you have?
Do I recommend dyno tuning? Absolutely if you want to maximize it. If money is no object, go for it. IF it is stock, I wouldn't until you have mods to justify it
Charlie at RPM motors in Santa Clarita is good with them honestly if the car is stock I wouldnt waste any money on it. Not cheap and sometimes you have to wait awhile for him but hes good
Wait til you do heads cam headers etc.

Thanks,,thats kinda what I have been thinking,,if I ever decide to sell the car which is the last thing on my mind, im thinking that it would take away from the reliability of the engine, it has 90k on it now and I do not drive it a lot just locally. I have found a place that can put in a 3.07 rear end parts and labor for around 1300. I may go that way.
