Took down mufflers - error code 32 !

Took down mufflers - error code 32 !
Yesterday I took down mufflers ( only pipes instead of them ) and everything looked O.K.
Today I went for a drive and after about one hour I got SES light.
After few minutes I stopped. SDtarted the car again after 10 minutes
and there is no more SES light. I drove it for 15 minutes and still no SES.
When I came home I checked Diagnostic Mode and there is error
code 32 - EGR system malfunction.
Is this related with taking mufflers off?
I remember that Marcho Polo told me that messing with exhaust could cause SES light and that I can solve this with new chip.
Is there any other way to solve this problem and is this error code even related with taking mufflers off?
I'm afraid that SES light will come back on!
Will this affect car performance?

I'm not sure if there are other ways to make it go away. I programmed it out of my chip because I got the light immediately after removing my pre-cats. I don't know how difficult it would be to send your chip back and forth from Croatia, but if you pay shipping each way I'll be happy to fix your chip.

Yes the light will prolly come back on, but it doesnt hurt performance. Mine came up the other day, i paid it no attention.

Mine comes on every now and again too. I just cary my highway driving speeds every 10-15 minutes so the ECM doesnt go into EGR mode. After doing that for a week or two, the ECM stopped throwing the 32 code. I also think that if you drive over 75, it doesnt go into EGR mode too. Craig should be able to confirm if these are true or not. My only concern with the light was the DIC cover being warped from the heat of the check engine light.
