Default Any code and my crazy idle

Hi

I got acces my '95 code by paper clip joint method ( i've not a scanner yet)

Seems no Code

1. C12 then ---

4. ---

9. ---

A. ---

1.0

really i dont know what is A anyone speak about it never heard before

Well since that a rough idle is on my car, and I'm searching the reason, already replaced IAC removed and cleaned throttle body and IAC housing, cheking for vacuum leaks
I've tried to remove IAC connector assuming that all the air is passing via TB blade,

Well doing this idle rise to 2000 rpm and stay there.

Unscrew throttle body idle regulation bolt to set it idle at 500 rpm would be required?

You have no stored codes, so that is a good start.

Connect the IAC electrical fitting. When this is connected, did the idle go back to where it was, or are you at 2000?

When you replaced the IAC, did you check to see if the pintal was set properly?

When I connect the IAC fitting idle go back (i've done this shutting off engine when IAC still disconnect, re-connect fitting then restart engine, idle go back to 1000 rpm)

I dont know what you meant for pintal setted properly??what is pintal?

The IAC has a pintal (or plunger) that moves in and out against the body under the TB to let air into the TB to control idle. It screws in and out. I will check my 95 manual when I get home to see what the setting should be. I believe that on my 85, it was set at 1-1/8 inches.

If the pintal was screwed in more than it should be, it would allow additional air into the TB at idle and raise the idle.

Thanks

Ok got it, could be that is a little bit open and no properly close the idle hole

To set it? Which is the right procedure?

Looked thru my 1995 GM manual for the IAC setting. It tells me that the minimum air rate is set at the factory with a stop screw. It never tells you what that setting is or should be.

The manual does say "If the IAC valve is disconnected and reconnected with the engine running, the idle speed may be wrong. If this occurs, reset the the IAC valve by depressing the accelerator pedal slightly, start and run engine for five (5) seconds, then turn ignition 'OFF' for ten (10) seconds.

The IAC is calibrated every time the ignition cycles from off to on.

"Setting" the pintle to some arbitrary length just makes sure it doesn't get broken if it's out too far when the IAC is screwed into the throttle body. I always push mine all the way in before installing it just to make sure it's not out too far (I broke a brand new IAC because the pintle was out too far).

Good idea is any touch to it, since that is brand new item

Is it correct to say for what as you know:
Disconnecting IAC wiring idle should be at 500 rpm, then Reconnecting it idle go to 850 rpm??, so I think to regulate a little the butterfly screw, since now without IAC wiring idle go to 2000 rpm
