Delphi Optispark II
FWIW, I just disassembled my brand new Delphi Optispark II and it has an optical sensor that has no markings on it whatsoever. I am considering swapping my 21 year old Mitsubishi optical sensor out of my original Optispark I....
Any thoughts?

This is terrible news. Now it seems delphi optisparks have run out of mitsubishi optical sensors.
If you had a gen 2 optispark with a 21 yr old misubishi optical sensor, then i would say swap that into the delphi unit. But you dont.
Also check the reluctor disk and make sure its not 'warped'

Thanks for the heads up on the Optical Sensor non-interchangeability.
I have everything rounded up to do a Hot Cam, Lifters, Valve Springs, Guide Plates, Ultra Pro-Mags, Rocker Studs, Pushrods, 95 Timing Cover, & Timing Set upgrade. Now I am thinking it might be wiser to leave well enough alone until it gives me an actual reason to....
