I dont think the optical sensors are interchangeable on an optispark gen i vs. Gen 2.
This is terrible news. Now it seems delphi optisparks have run out of mitsubishi optical sensors.
If you had a gen 2 optispark with a 21 yr old misubishi optical sensor, then i would say swap that into the delphi unit. But you dont.
Also check the reluctor disk and make sure its not 'warped'
