Hi, I bought a magnaflow cat back system for a 1995 c4. My c4 is a 1985. The cat back connection is different. Can I get a cat delete pipe that bolts to the 4 bolt on engine side and 2 bolt ball type on exhast side? Anyone know where to get it? Thank you, Ken

I think you will have to make one. also look at the muffler hangers, you might have to fab that too. My 85 has a Magnaflow cat back and it had to be completely modified to fit. custom cat inlet and custom hangers on the rear. Be prepared for loud, and freeway drone as you will get it.

a cat-back system for a 1995 corvette and the cat-back for a 1985 corvette are totally different - apples and oranges. where you have a catalytic converter on an 85, you'll have a resonator on the 95. the cats on the 95 are just downstream of the exhaust manifolds. I've got to ask, are you trying to install a system from a 86-91 corvette on your 85? post some pics of the 95 cat-back system.

Yeah, the systems are completely different. I guess it really depends on what you're trying to get from the system. I would think you could either, cut the pipes at the main cat where the Magnaflow resonator will go and weld it there. Or find some used cats, or direct fit cats for a '92-'95 which may or may not bolt directly up to your manifolds. Or of course you could just find some long tube headers and make it all work like that. But I think using the later model cats would be the only way to avoid cutting and welding...maybe.

I'm going to be installing a (86-91) corsa cat back on my 85. since the cats are completely different, I'm going to install an 86-91, flowmaster CATLESS front y-pipe, with a maganaflow high-flow main cat. the corsa system should bolt up without issues - I hope - - (this is one of my latest brainfarts!) the only issue I MAY have is the flowmaster-magnaflow connection. from the spec data, they are both 3 inch. I did the magnaflow-corsa connection on my 90 a while back without issues. may have to go semi-custom here....

I put header/x pipe and eliminators on my 85...eventually had to stick two cherry bombs out of the x pipe.....too much drone and sound.....

At one point in time, I'd found a website that sold those 2/4 bolt flanges. Not sure if I still have a link -- though it would require welding to retain your bolt-up config.

That said, anyone replacing a factory L98 cat would be better off looking to aftermarket replacement anyway -- which wouldn't have that flange. So....I'd just loose it. Possibly consider changing out that ancient factory cat anyway?

Hi,
I think Im doing similiar to Joe C. I was probably wrong on year. Its 86-91 style.
If I cant find a bolt on, ill either weld on correct end or switch to true dual pipes. I appreciate all the help!
