If I wanted to upsize the factory wheels on a 1993 base coupe to 18" rims, what would be the exact size and off set I'd be looking for? Not sure I totally understand the wheel sizing system...
the goal? To make sure that the overall wheel and tire height is as close to the stock as possible.
Assuming the same size, I would the stock 275/40/17's are 25.67" tall... for an 18", I would go 275/35/18, on a 9.5" rim. These end up being 25.58" tall. Call that good?
Are you going to run the same size tire and wheel at all 4 corners? If so, a 9-1/2" wide wheel should have a 56mm offset.
That offset and the 275/35-18 tire recommendation, that tire/wheel combo will be very nearly identical to a '93 OEM combination that came with the 17x9.5" wheel (Z07 option).
