I have a 91. After having a new stereo installed the heater control just shows a solid yellow light with nothing else in the LED display. I put in another heater control head and it's still the same thing. I have checked the wiring and everything looks good. Anyone have experience with something like this?

90 through 93(? unsure of the last year) require resistors added in series to several of the radio feed wires when a non Bose unit is installed. Failure to install the resistors results in a non functioning AC control.
A GM TSB with wiring diagram showing where the resistors are to be installed is posted on this forum somewhere in the stickys section on top of the topic pages.
I purchased the correct ohm resistors @ radio shack, cost about 2.50.
I never would have thought this was because of the radio.... Every now and again when i start up the car, I get the bars on the A/C controls screen so I just cycle the switch until it goes away. Nice to know there is a real fix. Looks like i need to hit up Radio Shack and figure out where the resistors go on a 90.
I printed the diagram. I appreciate the help. The person whom installed the stereo didn't do a good job with the stereo so I doubt he got that right.
Thanks again everyone for all the input
I saw where the resistors go, but I don't know what circuit 300 is to grab the switched 12v. Can I tap into the radio's main feed switched 12v? I believe it's yellow... I've had other issues more pressing, but this would be an easy satisfying fix. Unlike my other issues...
