Long title but all are welcome..putting new hooker long tube headers on my 1987 c4 with a L98. I have a air pump delete kit and also a converter test tube. I am thinking about gutting that air pump finally.. has anyone done this mod?? and how happy were you afterwards with the results.. thanks, gary
since you're in Fl, no problems with the air delete....many on this forum have done it, you can do a thread search...you may have to fashion a bracket and change the belt to do it correctly...don't know if it really gives you a lot extra in HP but it sure does clean up the engine bay....
When are you planning on doing the header install? I would like to see how bad a job it is and fitment on the Hookers and I would be glad to lend a hand. The AIR delete isnt a big job but you may need a shorter belt, at least I did. I had to grind on my alternator case just a little but I am thinking it may not be a stocker.
