This may be hard to explain:
'94 Coupe
The car has recently began to 'sputter' or maybe show signs of missing during acceleration in high gears.
Examples:
Driving in fifth or sixth gear and I go to accelerate and the engine hesitates or sputters. Very similar to what you would expect if you were in too high of a gear and need to downshift, which is what I do and it seems to be okay.
However, I know for a fact that the car did not behave that way in identical driving conditions. The car always had good acceleration in the same conditions previously. I do not think it is consistent but somewhat random. I also think it does it more after driving for a while.
I am also detecting this (although very slight) sputter in other accelerating modes.
The following items have been replace in the last 15,000 miles:
1. Spark plugs
2. Spark Plug wires
3. Distributor
Could this be moisture in the gas?
My current plan is to continue to drive it and expect it to become more defined and maybe predictable before getting too carried away. Just somewhat nervous driving it on a long trip.
That being said, I thought I would put it on the forum now too see what ideas came back or if others had similar experiences.
I also put a can of gas treatment in it today to see if it changes the performance.
Thanks.

Injectors could be an issue. I would start with fuel. Rent, borrow or purchase a fuel pressure gauge and place it on the rail. Turn on the key (don't start) and watch what happens to the pressure. Does it start to build pressure up to 39-42 PSI and hold? Tape the gauge to the windshield and start the car and drive it under the same conditions your experiencing your problem. Does the pressure drop when you start to accelerate? If so then first go cheap and change the fuel filter. Then test it again, if the problem is still there with a drop in pressure.....look at changing the fuel pump.

I bought a new fuel filter shortly after I notice the problem....just have not had time to install it.....looks like it is a little bit of a job getting the old one out....
