Default 1990 Corvette Code 51 INFL light

Got a air bag/seat belt light on in dash, checked and cleared about six codes. Lights were off but came back on minute later, seat belt light on also. When I rechecked only code 51 was present [Code 51 Diagnosis unit (DERM) faulty] . Is there any repair, something to check, or clean that I can do to get rid of this code/light's other then removing them[lights] And I got the FSM

You can try cleaning the frame sensors first. They are on the frame rails close to the firewall. But disconnect the battery first before doing any work on the system and wait a few min. You can access them by taking off the side panels behind the front wheels. They are 10mm bolts after removing them take a Dremel tool or grinder and clean the frame rail and bottom of the sensor. Also apply a coat of dielectric grease to the cleaned area and re install use a small star washer under the bolts this will help make a better ground. Then go through the procedure for clearing the code. Might take a few tries. If the light comes back on might be a bad sensor or derm which is up behind the radio pain to get to. Might want to ohm the sensors not the leads that go to the derm. They are down in the footwell area under the carpet covered in yellow covering. Good luck with the fix pipe

Yes thanks. I already did the frame sensors and grounds, they were some of the codes that were in the memory .After I cleared all the codes the only one left was code 51. I will look at the sensors and check for corrosion at the connectors, I am finding a lot of corrosion on most connectors in this car.
