Battery / Alternator Problem 95
My Vette started with a grunt a few days ago like the Battery was bad and
after running to work it started fine . After setting all day it barely
started but got me home . I put in a new battery and it started fine the
first time I tried minutes after the install . I tried again a few moments
later and it gave the same grunt and would not turn over . I put my charger
on the battery and it was at full charge , but the engine won't turn over
let alone start . any suggestions ???? Think the starter ???

Make sure that the lugs on the battery cables are bright, no corrosion. The starter could be at the end of its life, or check for clean connections on the negative cable to the frame and the negative connection on the left rear of the heads. Watch the battery volts when its grunts, the voltage should not fall below 9.0 volts .
