I have a 92 Corvette base coupe six speed all stock. I was driving down the road and the cars engine died I had lights and gauges. The car turns over but doesn't start battery checked. This is my first vette I am mechanically inclined.
Sorry to hear of your problem. First and foremost, understand there's no one that can tell you for sure why your car is not starting unless they can perform detailed troubleshooting on your car. Having said that, and assuming there is fuel in the tank, the first step would be to determine whether the problem is electrical or fuel related. If you don't know how to do this, I would suggest you invest in a set of GM shop/service manuals for your year Vette if you haven't already done so. These will pay for themselves many times over if you plan on working on your car yourself.
If you don't have the manuals or know how to determine whether the problem is electrical or fuel related, others with experience with such problems should chime in here with suggestions. In the meantime, have a look around the engine compartment for signs of problems such as the distributor, its cap and rotor, and possible other wiring problems. I recall a friend of mine had a battery acid leaking problem on his C4 which destroyed a feed wire to the fuel pump shutting it down.
One last thing. You mentioned the battery was checked. For this to be done properly, it needs to be properly tested under load or other means. However, if the starter is spinning normally during attempted starting, it should be okay. If it's dragging, that's another story. Sorry I can't be more helpful and good luck.
First thing to do is to check for fault codes, assuming you didn't simply run out of gas.
I cant get it to an auto parts place it wont start to go an check the codes i took the ignition control module and they said they couldn't test it im about to test fuel pressure sould be 40 psi right

You can pull the codes yourself and then post them here. Have a look:
Then you should already know that the first things to check for with the symptoms that you have are spark and fuel. Which is missing. If the car suddenly died, I doubt you'll have DTC's. What is missing? Spark or fuel?

Same issue on my 91 L-98, I found a lot of issues which I have fixed. This forum has been a tremendous help. I'm down checking injector harness for pulse ( I Have my noid light set!!) and next checking injectors for correct ohm reading. 14 - 16 ohms??? My looks like it has the original injectors although original owner paid a Chevy dealer $200 per injector plus labor for installation looks like was never done. Good Luck with your 92..
