Default 383 stroker questions

Hi
Newly returned to the C4 forum as I've sold my C5 Z06.

Couple of question with respect to the C4 platform. When building a 383 stoker, how many of you stayed with the factory fuel injections? What sort of horse power numbers were you able to achieve?

How many have eliminated the LT1 and gone to the old style 350 set up with conventional distributor and carburetor?
If you have, what were the challenges if any?

Still have my 1992 C4. The only part of the car that hasn't been touch extensively is the engine. Going to put a stroker in it and want to know what paths people have taken.

Thanks in advance for any input provided.

P.S. Did a search, but did not come up with the information I am seeking.

I used the tpi with siamesed SLP runners on my 383, great torque but they wont rev, the TPI will always strangle it, even when its modified.
i have a single plane using GM throttle body, now it will rev !

If you want to realise the power potential of a 383 you will have to go to a short runner injection system.

I ran my stock LT4 intake and a larger throttle body with AFR 195's on my 383 and put down 441 rwhp with a 232/236 @ .050 cam.

I think it would be hard to adapt the older stuff to an LT1 setup and a step backwards depending on your goals.

There are plenty of good heads/cams for LT motors and you can put down 450-500 rwhp fairly easy naturally aspirated.

What power level are you looking for and what are you going to do with the car.

Thank you for your input. I was looking to hit the 500 horsepower or higher mark. The car will be a weekend cruiser. Not looking to race it or anything like that. Just something to play with and go to the occasional local corvette rally.
