Drivers Seat Rocks
I just replaced the covers on my 89 coupe seats and I replaced the broken power track at the same time. I also figured that the new track would fix the rocking problem. Any help?

I had a problem where the back of the drivers seat was not solid. It rocked back mostly on one side. The problem was the fiberglass "bucket" under the seat was cracked on one side. The seat back adjustment mechanism was then moving a little on this side. I repaired it by fabricating a metal plate and bolting it across the crack. Still solid one year later.

I installed three power seat tracks before I got one that worked. One that ran porperly rocked as it was worn out. That may be your problem, if you pull the seat out and leave the track in place inspect to see where the rocking is taking place. You may want to send it back..good luck. :seeya
