When I let off gas pedal and get back on it. I can feel the rear end moving forward and backwards. Enough that I have to move the steering wheel a little to correct it. It mainly feels like the passenger side is moving. I pulled the control arms off the rear end and they were not in terrible shape. I could see wear, but not what I thought I would see. I have ordered new control arm bushings. Is there anything else that will cause that that I should be looking at? Thanks in advance.
........ There is a lot to check under there ... the trailing arms (dog bones) ... the toe adjusters (look like tie rods on the back side of the knuckle) ... the struts (camber adjusters) ... the batwing bushings ... wheel bearings ... and the C-beam bolts ... and while you're under there check all the u-joints .......... I'm assuming that you have ruled out the tires as a cause ........

The bushings were shot in my 125k mile '96 A4 base coupe dog bones (one end was riding metal-on-metal). I replaced all of the bushings with poly, and it still does it (although not as bad). I looked for other things that might be worn at the time, but I was a Y-body novice (am still?), so might not have known what to look for or how to properly check things over. It's not terribly bad (new tires made more difference in general tracking), but it's still there.
Next time I have the rear end up in the air, I'll look over things more carefully. I keep thinking I'm going to convert to D44 eventually, so...
