Default Hooker long tube install

Finally got my ceramic coated Hooker long tube Headers installed. They went in without a problem, even though I had to reroute one oil cooler hose. Fitment was excellent, only had to raise car 16 inch's and I had plenty room for the passenger side. I did have to remove the factory front end stiffener at the k frame. Mini starter fits in easily.. now to install my derale deep trans pan.. and button it all up.

after letting it down, be sure to check clearance of that tranny pan and the road. Sounds like your off to a fun summer.

Default Roger that

Yepper, The car had been lowered from previous owner.. I have a little clearance and believe it will be ok. Headers are tucked up there real good and it looks like my x brace will fit fine also. thanks for the reply, gary

Unless Hooker has changed there Y Pipe, don't use it...I had to cut mine in 3 places and reweld it to make it fit around my auto trans. It was more work redoing the Y pipe then installing the headers...The headers fit fine, but the Y pipe sucks.......WW

I wonder if Hooker redesigned the y-pipe at some point? Although I ditched my y-pipe for true duals a few years ago, it fit perfectly on my car when it was on there (91 A4).

Are you relocating the stock o2 sensor? I haven't decided what I'm doing with mine yet.

Default 02 sensor

No relocation needed on mine.. it is high on the tube, I did install a heated 02 sensor just to be sure.

What heated o2 did you get? I'm getting closer to that step on mine!

I bought the bosch 13077 for $16 and a adapter harnes for $15 have not had any issues since install. Before my car would go into open loop at idle or cruise.
