Default short throw shifter

Does anyone make a short throw shifter anymore for the ZF6? If so, where can I buy one?

contact ZFdoc, he'll modify your stock shifter for a shorter throw, and, can rebuild the shifter assembly.

Thanks everyone for the replies and links.

I have my reservations about E-Bay so that is a last resort option.

I will look into ZFDoc but summer is almost here and I am ready to drive this thing. This will be a winter project.

Are there any other options?

B&M; I run it; have for years and love it; very short throw! Don't miss gears with this thing at all, but others on here feel its too notchy and harder to pull for them...to each his own.

B&M was my first choice but it doesn't appear to be in production anymore. It isn't even listed on the B&M site.

Do you know of any place selling one (other than E-Bay)?

After having a hurst on my old trans I would get a ZFDoc modified shifter if I were to go that route again.

I'm in the process of deciding between the two. Mines a 95 so doesn't have the reverse lock out. Why do you feel Bills is better?

Do you still have the Hurst and want to sell?

no I don't have it sorry I sold ot to the fella that bought my callaway zr1. bills shifter is smoother. he sell and makes shifters for early and late cars. I bought his because I have known him for 15 years and go to visit him a lot and seen his work first hand . he is a perfectionist . if you ask anyone here what type of work he does when he rebuilds their tranny you will get nothing but accolades . this is the type of person I want making parts for my baby. he worked I n the aerospace industry for years and spent a lot of time designing the shifter he now sells . the band m is notchy as is the hurst . his is so smooth and positive there is no comparison . ask anyone who has one of his shifter and you will soon come to the conclusion his is the only way to go . I promise you will be glad you bought one . why buy a hot dog when you can have a steak .
