were exactly is the RPO sticker located on an 86 corvette? just curious....

How early is your car in the production? It wouldn't surprise me that there could be a mix. "vader86" hints he's either seen both had similar as you or recalls earlier conversations. I believe I've seen this conversation several times through the years. SPO information published in '88 mentions only console for '86 production. "Dt86" - You posted while I was typing it seems. Where is yours in production?

Might it be assumed that when the 'vert was released that it was noted as being a "nuisance" to either apply/install so the SPID label location was changed?
If that were the case then maybe a location change would have taken place on coupes at about the same production point.
Might be interesting to see if there are any '86 'verts with the SPID in the rear compartment. Are there any '86 "iron" head coupes with it in the console? Finally, aluminum head coupes with it in the rear compartment?
Were all coupes maybe in the storage compartment and the 'verts ONLY got the console location?
I would think there are NCRS expectations. '86 NCRS manual anyone?
