Default New heads and cam.. first time programming

Next weekend, I am installing new ported heads, and a more aggressive cam. I have all the goodies for burning, and collecting data. Is it realistic to think I can get the car drivable in an afternoon?? I know that it takes months or even years, to squeak out that last bit of power, but I just want the thing running, so I can get it home from my sisters.

Depending on the cam, you could probably drive it home on the stock programming.

It is a GM cam, specs are:

222/230 .542/.563 112LSA

I think it might be just a little too hot to run right under stock programming, but then again, I dont know much about the stock programming!!

i agree.. i drove my hotcam/383 stroker home from the shop before i did any programming. It did die once at a light, but that was because idle was too low, but I didn't have any problems otherwise.
