digital dash problems...
Im having problems with the digital dash in my 88 vette. Every time I shut the car off, thge LCD fuse would blow. When I turned the key on, no dash. Now all of a sudden the fuse quit blowing. I took out the cluster and did the "pinout test" from the service manual and all the voltages to the dash seem to be ok. Does anyone have any ideas? Does this sound like a dash problem, or maybe something else?
If I do end up having to send the dash out for repairs, does anyone know of a reputable shop that fixes them?

There is a small switching supply on one of the circuit boards that provides the high voltage (100v or so) for the LCDs. It sounds like yours has a shorted switching transistor. There are a number of shops that repair clusters.
