Accelerator Cable. How to remove?
I need to replace my accelerator cable due to a sticking problem with the throttle. I've got it all disconnected except for the connector through the firewall. There is a mounting plate of some kind, but I'm not sure if that comes off or not. Anyone successfully remove this cable without cutting it in half?

Peal away the sealent compound from the retainer at the firewall plate. Pinch the top and bottom tabs togther of the retainer and the cable should pull out if you have the pedel disconnected
