Default prom

hey guys im new here I just bought an 89 Camaro but someone put a set of 113 casting vette heads on it I don't know much of anything else about motor but im thinking I need a vette maf or chip the car does everything right except idle any help would be great thanks

The heads will not make a difference. The computer will easily compensate for the better heads. You would only need to look at changing the tune (chip) if you changed the cam that was different than stock.

I would be looking at the IAC under the throttle body. This should screw into a casting under the TB and have a four wire plug that plugs into it. This "system" is basically a plunger that moves in and out to cover and uncover a hole that allows air to flow into the TB at idle. This controls the idle thru the computer.......

Idle problems are almost always caused by a vacuum leak.
