Default OBX Catback H Pipe Addition

As a replacement I've elected to go with the OBX Catback system. But after looking at the photos I see the OBX only has quite a short small tube for crossover. So my plan is to flip the long straight tubes with the resonators attached 180*, placing the resonators at the back leaving room up front for a true H pipe. Stainless H pipes are affordable and seeing as how If I'm already going to the trouble of changing the exhaust it's not that much more trouble to try this.

FWIW I have a welder that does SS and I can move the rear mount cross bracket to match the fit when flipping the pipes

Be great to hear if anybody else tried this or similar cross over setups already
Thanks
Hary

I have this setup. Along with the headers. It was installed on my previous 383 and waiting to be installed on my current car. Along with my 383. I did purchase 3" x 12" resonators. Instead of the tiny toys OBX ships.
Other then that. Why not use the obx H pipe.

Is there a huge difference in price with the OBX stuff and Corsa? I'm not being a smart ***...I honestly don't know.

yes about a thousand dollars . lo lots of people like the corsa . I am not one of them . I made my own exhaust for my zr1 for about 300. it made 25 more rwhp than the corsa on my zr1 . I replaced the resonator with a narrow xpipe from summit and put 2magna flow super turbos 3in inlet with dual 21/2in out lets put the stk zr1 tipps on them for a stk look . also iy ended up sounding just a little louder than the stock setup, and zero resonance too boot

I sure wish I ran into you about 3 or 4 months ago! I believe everything you're saying, too.

It's funny - you can do all the research in the world and at the end of the day, with bolt ons....everyone gets a different result.

I went with Corsa and it was fine. When I changed engines, I went with LT headers (ARH) and...thinking I was smart...bought their recommended X-Pipe FOR those headers. HUGE mistake.

In the end, franken-cut-n-fit pieces with the excellent headers, the excellent cat back system...now sitting behind no cats...lol....and got the result I was after. So much wasted time and $.

There's another poster here with a C4 I was looking at the other day... also in the same boat as us where he ended up cutting things up. He's running 9s....in the mountains of Colorado or whatever....and his exhaust flows greats made of bits and pieces of everything too, wrapping it around a solid rear.

It's a process. Getting your car.... your way.... is never going to be easy...or what you think. I'm going to have a whole list of brand new sh*t to sell that just flat out didn't work for me. It's not bad, or defective. It just didn't......do what I wanted when working with other pieces.

It's not that these Vettes are hard to work on either. But they are combination sensitive.
