Looking at getting some Exotic Muscle headers. One of the big draws to me is they sell extensions that will bolt right up to my catback, so I don't need to mess with a muffler shop.
From my searches I read one negative but their weren't a lot of people that actually said they had them.
Find another company. I bought them and had fitment issues. Merle's solution was to not return my phone calls. The guy is a pos.
If you have any problems you will be ignored.
I felt the same way as you but it wasn't worth the aggravation.
Many other good reliable sources available.

I have been running EM headers on my car for nearly 10 years. There were no fitment issues, 1994 coupe. Even if the extensions say they will just bolt up you will still need to remove some length from the forward tubes on your cat-back.

I don't have a problem with that. I want to keep my resonator and the x on my MagnaFlow that's all.
I have a set. While not bad, I would buy stainless headers if I had it to do again. My drivers side header is tilted up about 1 in or so more then the passenger header. I did not realize this for a long time, but it caused the O2 sensor to rub the body of the vehicle. I purchased a plug for the O2 sensor on the collector and moved it back on the exhaust system. Here is a picture of the header.
Also, the extentions would not work with my automatic. We ended up cutting the stock exhaust which is 2.75 in. and then using a straight piece of 3in pipe off the collector. It would be better to use a reducer at this point, but we were in a hurry, so I just welded the 3in. to the 2.75.
Oh, wanted to add. The coating lasted less then 6 months and started getting rust spots. When we rebuilt the motor, I had them sand blasted and recoated. ($300.00) But again, its starting to rust. Again, if I had it to do again, id go stainless.
I have them on my 85 - one of the first mods I did, so they've got some years on them. Had to cut out part of a bracket on the passenger side, but that was it. Didn't get stainless, so they look worn.
Had 2 sets, one on my 90 convertible with a 396. Second set I had for my 421.
The 396 has AFR 195 heads and Corsa exhaust, I had the extensions also and they hit up with no issues.
The 421 had fitment issues unfortunately I couldn't get resolution from EM to get them to fit, so I gave them to a friend.
Overall the headers are okay, was disappointed with the customer service which is too bad because I was ready to spend a lot more $$ with EM

It seems like it's hit or miss with them. I was pretty sure my problems weren't an isolated occurrence.
I just ordered a set of Melrose. Hopefully all is good as I have heard good about them. Didn't buy EM not so much on the quality, but I have read from more than one person about bad customer service.

been running mine without issues since eariy 2005. I had to cut the joints on the header extension pipes and weld them together instead of bolting them but other than that easy install and quality power coating.

93ragtop, I think I have the same EM ceramic coated headers you do and yes, I run into the issue with the driver side 02 bung being useless in its current location. Though, I'm not running duel 02s, I may want to. Mine are 1-3/4" into collectors that have a 3" inside diameter that is a slip fit design. I have to say, I wish I had gone with a header that has the 3 bolt flange design. Any pics of your exhaust setup? I may copy it. Slip fit seems like such a crapshoot for exhaust leaks. I'm guessing welding to the ceramic coating doesn't present an issue.
