TV cable adjustment
I have a 700r4 in my 89. a friend who "knows what he is doing" adjusted my TV cable by pressing the button, pulling the cable back, and having me press the gas pedal to the floor.... When I drive the car, it seems to stay in gear too long so I re-adjusted it by doing the same thing, but instead of pressing the gas pedal, I manually actuated the throttle lever on the throttle body.. The car shifts smoother now, but it seems I lost some power. I am guessing its cuz Im not Jamming gears real hard now... Which is the correct way to adjust the cable?
