Default Running Hot...still

My 85 is running hot 260+ here are the specs
NEW gm 350 300 hp
New Radiator
2 year old water pump (clockwise)
Eliminated the AC and Air pump
180 Degree Thermostat (now has been taken out)
New Fan (engine side)
new Aux Fan
no ac condenser

after a couple miles get to the 240 range and BOTH hoses are ROCK HARD.

I used a laser Thermometer
Water Pump was 213F
Thermostat housing 233-240f

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Default Running Hot

You need to run a thermostat. The flow rate will be to high without a thermostat, that the radiator will be unable to cool the liquid.

Several people on the Forum said they got forward rotation water pumps by mistake and had similar problems. You need a reverse rotation water pump because of the way the serpentine belt is routed.
