Have you actually removed a tire wheel and just done a "visual" of the suspension both sides?

"JRC" mentions a "for hire" check and that is maybe certainly your best option.

Yours, if F45 is a "1 year only C4" thing and no one is "familiar" with the system other than the owners that do their own maintenance and have personal experiences. If this is an F45 car you can actually retrieve any DTCs (current if you have an SRC light OR HISTORY of any recent) using the car CCM diagnostics. You need to become maybe better informed about the F45. Your owners manual should give you a DIC "bulb check" for initial "KEY ON" request.
It is the F45 system and thanks for the good info.

Yes, I know rear tires a wider ....this is a diagnostic excerise not forever.
Actually, the car rides beautifully on smooth or relatively smooth roads. Rough surfaces like rough railroad crossings, or more noticeably, when driving over rough roads. Also, effort required to turn the steering wheel seems to be a little too much, more so than my other 96's that I had previously. The wheels just seem to shake or wobble. Tires do not bounce on smooth roads and the balance is good. Tires have about 1,000 miles on them. They were not Road Force balanced (I have not heard about this), but I will check with the Corvette shop to see what they say about this. Thanks,

sounds like bumpsteer aggravated by a stiff suspension

tie rods and really examining a 4 wheel alignment bet gets you right side up. Just dont let them throw parts at it on your dime.

100%. I think the slack rebound damping also contributes.

My idea is to run castor way up on both sides. Someone on this forum has to have gone through this already, and knows the answer ...

My '91 has exactly the same symptoms (with standard suspension). Wheel alignment was done to "advanced street" spec, didn't change anything. Shocks were tested by a rally shop, they said 'a little lazy but still working'.

Going through the suspension, I found the stabilizer bar bushings were completely gone. I've now changed those but haven't yet tested. Car has 100k miles.

I wish I could to better - I do have the document, somewhere.. it was suggested by the shop which is known for setting up Corvettes, Porsches etc. They said this alignment is most often requested by people who wish to drive the car as a daily car on nice days but also visit the track a few times in the summer months.

I guess the main point is that the wheel alignment didn't change the nasty bumpsteer and the tuner didn't have any problems.

If you come across it then I would like to know what the settings are. I think the reason it may not have made any difference is simply because of the settings. In fact I could see where a "from time to time" track/street setup might very well make it worse.

The very moniker "advanced street spec" sort of betrays the theme the specs were developed around.

I think the settings that are going to solve this problem would require a name more like "sedate street snoozer".

I just bought Continental extreme performance summer tires. now car shakes. road force balance twice, alignment twice. still shakes. I think it's the tires. should have paid $600 more and bought the Eagle F-1's. my mistake I get to live with. looking at other things now, ujoints etc. also put on new shocks, KYB performance shocks. still shakes. stupid me.
