Default 94 temperature gauge

The analog temp gauge on my 94 isn't working. However, I can see what the temperature is by changing the gauges and reading out the temperature digitally. If I remember isn't the digital readout more accurate than the analog readout. Also, is it really worth it to rip apart the dash to fix the analog gauge?

Is your sender working? Is there any codes? One is fed threw the water pump sensor the other is in the pass side cyl head. Forget which one is which

Always go by the digital but go ahead and fix it might just be a loose wire on the engine

The digital gauge reading is more accurate because it comes from the PCM. The PCM has some magic electrical circuitry and fancy software to make the reading more accurate.

The analog reading comes from the coolant temperature sensor in the passenger side head between spark plugs #6 and #8.

I would certainly think that it would be GOOD to have a functional TEMP gauge on the cluster and what makes you think that the cluster needs to be removed for a fix?

That's very unlikely unless you've done some diagnostics that you've not mentioned here. I'd think it more likely a bad sender on the RH cylinder head, a WRONG sender or maybe just a poor connection at the sender.

It's not magical. The source for both gauges is different and independent. The digital comes from the sensor on the water pump through the PCM and the analog comes from the right bank cylinder head sensor directly.
