Default Help With A Vibration

I was driving my vette out on the highway yesterday, when all of the sudden a vibration, (it almost felt like I had a rear flat tire), came out of nowhere, at about 70mph. I put the car in neutrel and the vibration stayed steady. I pulled over to check for flats, no flats. Then i took off and the vibration was still there throughout all speeds, increasing with speed. I pulled off the highway onto the frontage road, to turn around and head home. The vibration slowly dissappeared within about 3 miles. This is the 3rd time this has happened.

I rebuilt the tranny about 2000 miles ago, and I am wondering if it is something with the driveline, rear end, rear wheel bearings? When I put the car in neutral the vibration does not change, so I think it has to be something from the driveline back??

The vibration is not in the steering wheel, its more so in the seats and rear of the car.

Any thoughts/suggestion/help greatly appreciated!

I would lift it up and check for play in your drive line.

I will do that, probably next weekend when I get some time. Thank you for your help. I will let you know what I find. I was thinking that maybe I out the driveline in backwards, what I mean is I didn't realign the yoke the same way. It has been about six months since I rebuilt the transmission, but I think I remember marking it to make sure it went in the samthe way.
