I own a 1984 4 plus 3. I just put a camshaft and went with roller rockers. The valve covers do not work with these rocker arms. The tab inside the cover touches the rocker. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which valve covers I should use. I am assuming that I need covers with crankcase breathers, correct. Thank you
Use a grinder or a Dremel with a cut off wheel to remove the drip tabs. Don't try to bend and break them off....you will break a hole in the cover and they will be useless at this point

I was actually wondering if grinding the tabs is a viable option. Thank you
Yes, grind them off as close to flush with the cover as you can or cut them off. I did that with my stock covers for my 85 running 1.5 & 1.6 RR. When I built the ZZ4 I used 1.6 rollers with a .534 lift on the exhaust. I used a little taller gasket and the covers worked fine.

Well the dremel, the greatest tool known to man, it is.
I was thinking of tuning the lifters by rotating the cam. My question is Does anyone know how far the spring compresses when the lobe is up. Thank you.
