Jumpy Tach Reading
Guys,
I've got an 84 with original crossfire. Since I bought the car in October last year, it has had an intermittent fault with the tach. Most of the time, the tach will function just fine. Other times though, the tach will jump up the scale and back and up and back intermittently.
I've had the dash cluster out to fix another problem and the electrical connectors all look good.
I've done a search and couldn't readily see anything on here but would appreciate any advice on what to look for.
Thanks
Darren

On cars in the later 80s there is a Tach filter that goes bad and causes this to happen..I'm not familiar with the 84 , but if your car has a tach filter, this is probably what's causing your problem...WW
