bit of a bog...
I recently replaced opti, plugs and wires. I also replaced air filter with a 5 dollar replacement. Upon exceleration off the line the throttle response isnt there. Also sometimes it bogs a bit and I get a little pop backfire sound. Will removing the screen, and a k&n help this?
BTW.. My friend just got a 91 awd twin turbo stealth, and it feels fast! I dont wanna loose (whats the outcome gonna be?) :cry

Remove the air filter to see if that cures the problem; if so get the K&N. Of course a K&N would be a good idea anyway.
Also check the pump diaphram, the accelerator plump; just crack the throttle quickly to see if there's a spray of gas into the carb throat, with the ending off of course.
