88-VETTE-L98, I just did a mock up of the door light / black door handle trim, you need to remove the door panel to get at the bulb. Sorry for the incorrect advise. I am thinking the door arm rest is in the way of just pulling the black door trim to get at the light. I plan on re-assembling at least one of my doors this Sunday to walk you through this.

88-VETTE-L98, pull the door panel so you can access the black door trim.

I just finished. Pulled off both door panels and it took about an hour all together. Thanks for everybody's input I appreciate it.

Very good. Glad we could help, some what. Your LED's, what light color did you order? White light comes in cool white (blueish) and natural.
