Hard Start with MSD 6
I just installed my MSD Digital 6 and am having starting difficulties. It's just when I intitialy start the car, it almost acts like there is a fuel shortage or something. This was installed along with a Compucar Wet Nitrous system. Other than the starting difficulty the ignition system works great.
Has anyone else noticed this problem after installing this MSD 6?

Well I'll try replying to my own post and see if I can spark some opinions. I hooked up the stock ignition to see if I can pin point the area, as I expected it fired right up. It seems like the MSD 6 is retarding the timing too much during start up. I have it set to "2" on the cyclinder setting (which identifies an 8 cyclinder).
Does anyone have an idea?

I just installed my 6AL w/coil and didn't experience any hard start situations. Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but they say to retard the timing 2 degrees for every 50 shot...

I use a 6AL, but mine cranks a few more times (1-2 revolutions) before it starts with it. When I connect the stock ignition back up, it fires before the first revolution is complete.
