Default Intake Duct issue...

in my '90 C4. I have no MAF sensor since it is a SD car....so the flexible bellows goes right from the air filter housing to the TB. I have been noticing that the connection to the filter housing keeps coming loose. At first, it was during a track day at road course, so i figured it was just the spirited driving causing it to pop loose. But recently on cruise night, opened up the hood and it was loose. It basically lets unfiltered air into the TB, so it wont really affect the tune....but i want it to hold. My most recent attempt was to pull the bellows off the TB, and tighten it up to the housing first. Used a good tool to lock it down, then hooked it up the TB.
Anyone else have this issue? Any tips or ideas?
Thanks

You could try the bubba method.....3-4 sheet metal screws thru the metal band into the air filter housing.

Bubba method....i like it! prolly will help, but that aint happening on my car! Just trying to keep it pristine as much as possible, for re-sale value.

On my 93 the bellows was dry and no longer plyable so the clamp didnt seem to pull it together. I ended up with an after market one thats worked fine for last few years.

Not yeat, but mine barely reaches between the TB and the filter housing. I wonder if the rubber shrinks w/time? If/when mine starts to slip off, I'll go w/a aftermarket replacement.
