Body shop?? flares??
hey guys im planning on buying the GS flares... since my car is lowered i want to get the flares glassed in rather than bonded on... my problem is the 315s rubbing the original fender, so i was told if i got the flares glassed on it would give me the clearence i need since they cutt the original fender (i think)... anyone done this or would know how much this would cost? Any chicago based memebrs know of a good body shop? thanks guys

I was not aware of the GS flares being bonded on. I assumed that they were bolted. I suppose that you could bond it. But to cut away the fender and bond it on????? I don't think it works that way. However, with alot of fiberglass work, anything could be made to work. But looking at the design, it would probably be easier to cut the stock fender and make you own. I am not sure what you would gain. The inner fender well also would have to be hand fabricated since it is made of thin plastic.

The reason i want to do this is to avoid the rubbing.. i figured if the original fender is cutt and the new flares is molded (glassed in)or even bolted on it would provide me that extra space and my 315s would rubb... seeing that the original fender isnt there anymore:D
