Default Z51 or Z07 front spring?

Which would be better for street use on my 95 with fx3? I don't mind a firm ride. Does anyone know where I can get a used one? I want a used one because I don't want to pay much, because I will probably go to coil overs later. I can't seem to locate a used one. Anyone want to get rid of their's?

Just depends on what year you get on stiffness. 89-91 spring is stiffest and later years are much softer.

And with only ~750 Z07 (~2000 Z51's) Corvettes made each year...not easy to find-not available new either...I tried.

Jeff told me he could get them new, cost is ~$360 each.

The question is, do you really want springs that stiff? For the street in frost prone areas they ride rough.

I talked to Jeff last week and he said they have been discontinued and he can't get them anymore. Is the FE7 code the soft ride or Zxx spring. Is it the same as the FE1 spring?

I'll be getting rid of my Z07 springs in a couple of weeks. E-mail me and we can discuss a price or maybe a combo of cash and your old springs.

Here is a good site with all the suspension options for the C4's. It has the spring rates for every option of every year, '84-96.

BTW, I like the Vette Brakes Sport spring, it's a bit stiffer than the z51 spring on my 85 parts car was.
Ride quality isn't the greatest, but the car can corner like a champ.

I should know to be more specific...

The 89-91 Z51/Z07 front spring is not available new last time I checked. The rear is though. I didn't check later years as if I was going stiff then miles well go all the way:)

I was able to locate some used ones though so my search is over.

FE7 is Z07 to the best of my knowledge.
