The LT1 has nothing in common with an LS1 other than they happen to be the same displacement, hence my joke above about the 5.7 Hemi.

And don't go buying any 2013+ LT1 parts because those motors have nothing in common with the 92-97 LT1s

Nope, but many car guys will get their panties in a twist because it does get asked a lot.

If you want to an LS swap would in my opinion be a good idea.

Having a thick skin around here helps.....of course that coming from a guy that complains, whines, and threatens to throw in the towel on his own build every other month on here. Although there's a ZR-1 for sale on here for 11 grand that would make me drop all of this crap if I could.

It depends on how much down time your car can have. Cuisinartvette is the go-to guy on here for port work, if he still does it. Send your heads and manifold to him for some work and do some research on spring upgrades matched to a good cam and you may be surprised at the gains you make! There are still plenty of tricks out there to wring a good amount out of the C4 LTx platform without breaking the bank.

Thank you to those that have answered my questions and shown support for me. Everyone has got to start somewhere. I've been a Vette owner for less than a year, so I'm learning. To the haters- ,i,,

For someone who picks on others you should know the LT1 was resurrected in 2014 and not 2013.
