Default What is this wire?

I'm doing multiple things on the car atm and one of them is removing the ABS wiring. I'm also about to clean the pos wire block by the batt.

What is the red wire circled in yellow? Pictured is drivers side inner frame behind the front tire. 1986

Didn't feel like digging though some wiring diagrams atm so thx for any help. Car is being turned into a mostly drag car so plz save the ABS rants.

Bump, can't seem to find the right diagram. Been looking for one of the ABS and power distribution block.

8A-44-0 should get you what you want and I believe it's likely the fusible link wire to the battery junction. Fusible link J likely. The FL is likely on 8A-44-1

I didn't bother posting earlier, I thought sure you would have solved this with a quick glance at the FSM.

If you don't have the FSM I can post an image. The C212 connector should be obvious I'd think if you follow the wire towards the compartment.

Ok found a pic the block, now if someone can put a name(use) to the letters of the fuseable links, plus wire 1 & 2 that would be helpful.

Based on what I can see of the image from your FSM, wire 1 should be the wire from the battery to supply power to that terminal and wire 2 should be the power wire to the ABS system.

#2 in your image or J in this image from the FSM. I thought your car was an '87 so my information is from an '87 BUT the references to 8A-44-0 etc should be correct regardless of the year. Just follow the wire!

To the right of your yellow circle it looks like the top/left brake line has a big chunk gouged out of it.

Thx, they have some kind of coating on them, doesn't appear to be corrosion.

Also FYI that was the ABS wire I got out the test light. Still not sure what all the fuseable links are for on the block.
