Can't find 89 ECM

Can't find 89 ECM
Need to check to make sure it's stock (installing N02).
Looked under drivers side (under instrument panel) and
passenger side (by heater core). Am I overlooking it?
Also checked above battery.
Also, where can I get an 89 specific service manual?

its on the passenger side . remove the panel and look straight up. you should see 2 10mm nuts looking back at you along with the harness connectors. remove the 2 nuts and the ecm will slide out of the carrier

Bring a comfy pillow out to remove this as you'll be upside down in the footwell. Thankfully it is only two bolts. Not counting the 4 for the plastic kick panel. The retaining clips for the wire harnesses are fairly straight forward. The ones closest to the seat hold in the harness, while the others are there for leverage. When reinstalling it, you'll need to apply a little bit of force, (not a lot) to seat the rubber guide pins. Its about a 10 minute job.
